We require full and complete payment to be made before parcels are dispatched to their destination or picked up.
In the event that your parcel is less than the prescribed minimum weight we will charge the cost for minimum weight as applicable.
Items left in our warehouse after 10 days of incurring storage charges will be put up for sale by way of auction to set off the debt owed to MiasXtra Ltd , after which the balance (if any) will be paid to the defaulting client.
All weights are approximated so if your parcel is 7.2kg for instance, this will be charged as 8kg. Also note VOLUME WEIGHT applies to CHARGES in a case where it is HIGHER than the ACTUAL WEIGHT.
PURCHASE ON YOUR BEHALF
For item(s) you would like us to order for you, please send us the links with sizes and quantities to enable us prepare a quote for purchase, as MiasXtra Ltd will not be liable for items which you deem to be unsuitable for your purposes.
The amount of the total spend plus our service charge must be sent to us before the orders are placed. Once orders are placed order confirmations will be sent to you as evidence of your purchase(s). Receipts which are received in your parcels will be removed by MiasXtra Ltd for security reasons as they will contain our personal billing details.
Should MiasXtra Ltd place an order on your behalf from a store, MiasXtra Ltd will not be responsible for any losses caused by your dealings with the store. However, we may process refunds and exchanges on your behalf, at additional charges.
Clients are required to disclose the full contents of all parcels being sent as MiasXtra Ltd will not be responsible for loss or damage to undisclosed items such as fragile or luxury goods. Repackaging of items may be required and will attract an additional charge which depends on the size and type of repackaging required.
All parcels received by MiasXtra Ltd are subject to being opened for controlled inspection as they make their way to you in Nigeria. Edible items, furniture and other goods imported may attract additional government levies including NAFDAC and Customs charges. Importation of items containing lithium batteries for instance will attract additional charges as they need to be handled as dangerous goods.
MiasXtra Ltd will not be liable for the loss or misdirection of parcels that are not labelled as directed in our communication. Neither will MiasXtra Ltd be involved in tracking of parcels that are not bought by MiasXtra Ltd on your behalf.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Regardless of who is at fault the liability of MiasXtra Ltd is limited to £10/equivalent per transaction. If the Client regards this limit as insufficient the Client is required to make a special declaration of value and request additional insurance or the Client may make his or her own insurance arrangements.
MiasXtra liability is strictly limited to direct loss and damage to physical items only. All other types of loss or damage are excluded (including but not limited to lost profits, income, interest, future business), whether such loss or damage is special or indirect, and even if the risk of such loss or damage was brought to MiasXtra Ltd’s attention.
We shall make every reasonable effort to deliver your shipment according to our advertised delivery schedules but this is not guaranteed as we will not be liable for any delay that we deem to have been beyond our control. Weekends, public holidays, delays caused by customs or by compliance with mandatory local security requirements or other events beyond our control are not included when we quote our delivery times.
Insurance fee is 10% of the total value of item in your package and a minimum of £50 if UK to lagos , a minimum of $60 if US to lagos and a minimum of N2500 if within Nigeria. We also request for receipt of purchase for all items showing payment confirmation and description if paying for insurance.
Charges will be levied on parcels whose delivery/pick up is delayed due to non-payment, insufficient delivery information and any other such reasons, as follows:
- 10kg and below – N500 per day
- Above 10kg – N1,000 per day
Items left in our office after 10 days of incurring storage charges will be destroyed.
If ordering yourself, cut off to receive your goods will be 3pm every Wednesday for preparation that same weekend. Any package arriving our facility after the cut off time meets up with the next freighting cycle. i.e the following week. Our consignment leaves 12pm on Fridays of every week, and then undergoes TSA check over the weekend to be airlifted on Monday of the following Week. Please note that Counting starts from the Monday when it is Airlifted, not Friday when it leaves the Warehouse.
OUR TERMS OF SERVICE
These terms of service apply to all shipment processed by or through MiasXtra Ltd or any of our authorized agent. Cargo mishandling could be very costly. Consequently, we strongly recommend shipping insurance either through our partner company or through other valid alternatives.
We ensure to provide top class services that are very efficient and ensure exceptional delivery of shipments; however, certain factors may impact the business which is beyond our control. Therefore, we will not be responsible or liable for shipment delay costs arising directly or indirectly from airlines delays or any act of God that may cause delays
MIASXTRA LTD IS NOT AN AIRLINE COMPANY, In the event of shipment damage, loss or stolen during transport with the airline carriers. MIASXTRA LTD will not be liable; MIASXTRA LTD WILL IN GOOD FAITH ASSIST CUSTOMER WITH THE PROCESS OF CLAIMS WITH THE AIRLINE CARRIER.
Customers are responsible for any port charges and any extra transportation charges, including any applicable UK/US/ NIGERIA custom, TSA-HLS inspection -CES exodus examination charges and fees or any applicable processing charges. CUSTOMER WILL INSURE PROPERTY.
Customer hereby declares that no hazardous material, fire arms, stolen property or contraband is part of this shipment.
CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT UK/US /NIGERIA customs, TSA, MIASXTRA LTD, or ITS AUTHORIZED AGENTS has full permission to open and inspect the shipment should incase the need arises.
Customer agrees that all additional shipping, clearing fees and any UK/US/NIGERIA custom APPLICABLE INSPECTION FEES I.E. CES EXODUS EXAM, NIGERIAN custom clearing or charges will be paid by the deadline date.
If payment is not made by the deadline date, customer agrees to pay all applicable demurrage charges, late fees, transportation, inspection, storage and security fees. Customer further agrees to forfeit the shipment after 30 days from shipment date. MIASXTRA LTD or its authorized agents have my permission and authorization to sell the content of the shipment when customer is in default.
MIASXTRA LTD will not be liable for property loss, stolen, property damage, forfeited or any glass breakage, if not properly insured and declared. ARRIVAL DATE IS AN ESTIMATED DATE, SHIPMENT MAYBE LATE.
CUSTOMER AGREES TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS MIASXTRA LTD AGAINST ANY AND ALL LIABILITY OR CLAIM, WHETHER MERITORIOUS OR NOT. I FURTHER AGREE TO PAY ALL MIASXTRA LTD LEGAL FEES IN THE EVENT OF ANY LEGAL ACTION BY EITHER PARTY
